Book Review of The Gentle Infidel by Lawrence Schoonover

I picked this up while I am in hospital waiting for surgery. The title of the book peaked my curiosity. So I sat down and read the first few pages and I knew I had to get it. The scene is set in the 1400 in Turkey. Where trading and war is happening. But we meet a merchant and his son. We get to follow his son in his journey in the military for the sultan of Islam. The author did a wonderful of painting a beautiful scenery and people. Even when war was breaking out you can see it all in your head. And hear the roar of the cannons and snapping of the bow string when archer let their arrows fly! Even when there was food involved in parts of the book you wanted to eat with the characters.

I am happy with the ending the book as well and there is a twist!I won’t spill to much more and ruin it for you. If possible definitely give this book a read!

My brothers infinity scarf

I made this super soft infinity scarf for my awesome brother. I used caron cake blue faerie for the body and the for trim I used Bernat Baby Coordinates in the color soft blue. I used a 5mm hook. This was all done in a single stitch. It is 25 stitches wide, so it will keep my brother nice and warm.
