I had read the condensed version as child. Even back then i always loved this book! Rereading it know as an adult makes me appreciate it a lot more. Specially the characters and landscapes.
I have so many questions over this book! First why did Mr Earnshaw bring heathcliff home with him? I know there are many possibilities for this but i think it could be that heathcliff was actually related to Hindley and Catharine Earnshaw! I think this cause of how Hindley’s father favored heathcliff over his own children in a way.
I do have more questions but that one was the most important since it sets the book in a different tone in a way. What do you think???
I love how emily painted the english moores around the grange and wuthering! You can see it in your mind clear as day. And i know i want to go rambling out on the moores up the crag! To potentially see the fairy cave.
Emily breathed such life into these characters you can’t help but fall in love with them and also dislike them when they are being “bad”. Heathcliff i found hard to like since there was a big chip on his shoulder and how he treated his own son.
Mrs. Dean the good housekeeper i love! You cam see her recalling all that happened between the two house holds over tea! And how she loves cathy and young Mr earnshaw!
