Book review of Sword and Scapel by Frank G. Slaughter

This book grabbed my attention right away when I was in the hospital waiting for surgery. I read the jacket cover about the author and it made me think this will be a good book.

The author paints a wonderful picture of Paul, kay and the chaplian! You go on this rollercoaster ride of emotions with the characters. You root for Paul and kay. You also get the feelings of detest for certain characters as well.

Frank G. Slaughter paints a picture of a horrible life in a prison camp. You get the sense death is just around the corner and your not sure how the characters will survive! He also shows us hope! That does live in some of the characters like the chaplain!

The author pulled from his own experiences as a surgeon for the army. So it definitely gave the book more life!
