I picked up this book from the library since the title was attention grabbing. The author did an amazing job showing the emotions of the characters. You feel their pain and anxiety, the fear with george about the woods. You hope the Sequoyah and his mom got reunited, but you feel his sadness at the court scene. Rosemary is such a conplex character, and you want to know more about her. The Troutts are good foster parents looking after Sequoyah, Rosemary ans George. I was curiouse about them as well. The author wrote this book very well, and you will feel it. I I definitely recommend it.
