As I was leaving the library last week with a fresh set of kid books and DVDs. I stopped and glanced over the shelfs outside of the library which are free to take and you can put books on there for people to take.
As I was scanning the title of this book grabbed me right away. I had questions forming in my mind. Once I read the back cover knew I wanted to dive into this book right away. It is a emotional rollercoaster. Jamal was an amazing kid who put up with some pretty blanton racisim with a private school. William was a mentor in waiting really. The friendship that formed between was amazing to see unfold. I got angry when the one professor was trying to be cast doubt on Jamals talent. I was going what the hell and realized how the character of that professorwas written. Are based on people who do hate being seriously challeneged.These type people are sometimes teachers who will crush a students who has decided to challeneg them and they will break that students confidence just to prove a point.
Even thought ending wasnt what I expected, I certainly will be rereading this book again and again.
